Paypal now charge fees on Personal accounts

June 23rd, 2009 dhaval1983 No comments

Friends,

Recently there has been a new policy updated by paypal. Paypal will now charge fees on personal accounts as well. Previously the fees were only applicable on Business and Premier accounts but now if you receive payment in your personal account, you will give away some fees to paypal.

There has been a lot of discussion going around about this change amongst people. Some people do not find this change as the effective step from paypal. Because this will effect for small payment receiver or freelancers.

In between let me tell you about the personal tab payment. If senders send a payment via PERSONAL TAB from his account, then you will not charge for any fee. Paypal consider this transaction as personal (Send money to your family members, friends, gifts. However, if you do not receive payment via personal tab then paypal will consider the transaction as commercial transaction and you will be charged for it.

Receiving payments via personal transaction is always good and free of cost but be careful about receiving it in no time. I mean to say if you receive such payments in bulk then it might cause you problems and paypal can limit your account.

In short, all the three accounts (Personal, Business & Premier) are now chargeable.

Useful paypal information when you Relocate Or change the country.

April 2nd, 2009 dhaval1983 5 comments

So, guys I have seen and read a lot of questions being asked by people. If they are going to relocate or change the country and how to deal with paypal?

I have seen lots of people are confused about changing street address and the country if they are going to relocate.

I mean if you are residing in the UK and relocating at US then you must close your UK paypal account and open a new paypal account in US. This is the standard procedure of Paypal. Meanwhile, if you already relocated to US and try to add the bank account details of US bank account, you wont be able to do this as Paypal will not allow you to do such modifications and hence there is no use of adding a bank account or a new street address.

The answer is simple. If you are relocating, You must close your current (country) paypal account and open a new account where you are going to relocate with the new details.

You may check the services available in your country using below mentioned URL.
